Enya Fontanills (Cuba/Miami) is a contemporary painter and installation artist. Her work explores migratory memory, water, and the oneiric through painting, object, and installation.

Medium bio

Enya Fontanills is a Cuban-American visual artist trained in Miami, San Francisco, and Rome. Her practice combines surrealist painting and installation to address journey, memory, and belonging. She has developed a language where the domestic becomes relic and water functions as a metaphor for separation and union.

Long bio

Enya Fontanills builds a visual archive of the contemporary migratory experience. Born in Cuba and trained across Miami, San Francisco, and Rome, her work combines painting, object, and installation with an oneiric, precise sensibility. Starting from almost cinematic visions, she transforms tables, glasses, bodies, and fragments of glass into scenes where the intimate becomes political and poetic. Her work has been presented in studio and archive contexts as she prepares for gallery circuits across the Miami–Spain axis.
