The Travelers: Home Comes with Me
Part of The Travelers / Los Viajeros. The series shifts "home" from a geographical to a sentimental meaning; home becomes something we carry within us. Home comes with me. The idea also appears in a charcoal drawing (Si me voy, me llevo mi casa conmigo—If I go, I am taking my home with me), the beginning of a sculptural series of luggages with legs and entire cultures within them.
