The Travelers: Checked Baggage
Part of The Travelers / Los Viajeros series. A painting of suitcases with legs—a metaphorical representation of a new generation of traveling culture, where home becomes something we carry inside us. Checked Baggage was inspired by a conversation about how many times we had moved—we counted between 12 and 15; we were both in our 20's. Everything we owned was mobile and disposable; we were like luggage with legs, carrying our homes everywhere.
